Make It Monday with Needle and Thread

Stitched Gift Card Envelop Tutorial
Yesterday I started my week with the Needle and Thread Bundle early because it went so well with the new Floral Grid Paper.  It was definitely a good lead-in for this week, however I wasn't anticipating it!  I've been waiting to showcase this product suite for a while now.  There were many others I wanted to get done first due to some holidays, but this week is finally here!  The Needle and Thread Bundle has great stitched images and dies that coordinate with the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper (DSP).   The stamp set also has 6 sentiments for a wide-range of card-making and gifting needs.  This gift card envelop is easy to make using the Envelop Punch Board.

Product of the Week: Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper

This is one paper I couldn't wait to get my hands on!  The Needlepoint Nook DSP is vibrant with many different colors that coordinate with the paper.   It also features photo-realistic prints that look just like embroidery.  Each paper has an embroidered pattern on one side, and then stitched line work with a solid-color background on the reverse.  Perfect for spring and floral paper crafting, but the line work is excellent for more masculine needs too.

Measurements:

Envelop: Needlepoint Nook DSP, 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Band: Needlepoint Nook DSP, 7" x 3/4"
Layer 1: Crushed Curry Cardstock, 2 1/4" circle from 2 1/4" Circle Punch
Layer 2: Whisper White Cardstock, 2" circle from 2" Circle Punch

Embellishments: Tropical Elements

Instructions:

1.  Use Envelop Punch Board to score, punch and fold envelop.  Punch and score first line at 2 3/8", then line up the first score line with the straight edge on the punch to score and punch the next line.  Continue lining up each of the next lines around the paper to finish all four sides.

2.  Fold two small sides of envelop in and put a small amount of Tear & Tape on them.  Adhere bottom side to the two sides

3.  Fold Band vertically around the Envelop, being sure to make it a little loose or you won't get it back on!  Use Tear & Tape to secure the ends overlapping, and trim any excess.  Make sure you only tape the ends of the Band together, don't tape it to the Envelop!  Also be sure the ends are on the front side (you'll hide the ends with the sentiment layers.

4.  Stamp "Friend" sentiment across the middle of Layer 4 using Tranquil Tide Ink.  Stamp one of the leaves above and below the sentiment using Old Olive Ink.

5.  Adhere Layer 1 to the Band by sliding it under the ends of the Band with some Tear & Tape on it.  Then adhere Layer 2 over the top of the Band, centered on Layer 1.  This will sandwich the Band between the two Layers.

6.  Adhere two flowers from the Tropical Elements to the stem of each leaf stamped on Layer 2 using Mini Glue Dots.
