WOW Wednesday with Beauty Abounds

Beautiful Butterflies Card Tutorial

The two dies that layer up to make these amazing butterflies is so simple to use, you'll be putting butterflies on all sorts of projects!  They work wonderfully together as one big focal, especially great for scrapbooking, or they can be cut a part and used in smaller groups or individually.

More on Monarchs!  Monarchs rest in trees in the fall when they start their migration South.  They can be hard to see on the trees because they look like leaves.  They are sensitive to vibrations on the trees, which can send them into the air in a flurry.  One of my favorite places to find them resting was behind the library at the University of Minnesota, Morris.  My first fall on campus I witnessed a great migration within just the first few weeks of school.  Unfortunately, Monarchs populations are declining in some areas.  I remember seeing hundreds of them per day when I was a child growing up in Minnesota, and they became harder and harder to find through the years.  By the time I graduated Morris, the migration saw only a fraction of what I witnessed my first year.  Providing milkweed and other flowers that draw in butterflies will give pollinators a better chance of surviving.

Product of the Week: Beauty Abounds Bundle

The Beauty Abounds Bundle certainly plays to the Monarch's beautiful wing design in the framelits dies.  There are also a couple small stamps of butterflies in the stamp set, but I love the fact that there are matching floral images and great background textures in the stamp set.  There are sooooo many cute little butterflies in the framelits!  There are 10 of the same, tiniest butterflies so you can cut out many of them at the same time.  There are also duplicates of several other butterflies in the framelits set, as well as three butterfly dies that can be layered together or used separately.
