Thankful Thursday with Flowering Desert

Your Own Kind Card Tutorial

I adore the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack that is a Sale-a-Bration freebie.  It has been so popular that it is currently sold out!  But that doesn't mean you can't get your hands on some!  If you spend $50 this week, not only will you get a Sale-a-Bration item of your choice FREE, but I'll also send you your own sample pack on the Organdy Ribbon from my stash that you can use on your projects for FREE!

This card is another #simplestamping card.  And if you don't have the Organdy Ribbon, you could substitute either ribbons from the Tea Room Ribbon Pack and they would look wonderful.  The layers are cut so that they could create borders on each side of the stamped layer, but it's fun to try something new and different too!  So today the layers are offset.  Have fun finding your own way to put layers together and share with us your creations!

Thankful Thursday
Giving gratitude is an important part of my family's lives and we are teaching the importance of gratitude to our newest family member now too.  We are so grateful to have her in our lives.  She shows us every day what is truly important: spending time with those you love and helping each other to be our best.  Today I give thanks for having her in my life and I am excited to see what she does in the world, but I hope she doesn't grow up too fast!

Product of the Week: Flowering Desert Stamp Set

I love it when products are designed to work together so well that I don't have to think about finding products!  And that is EXACTLY what Stampin' Up! is doing when you see "You Can Make It" in their catalogs or online.  They have pulled together products that work together for you to make the projects they show.  I think about the only thing the "You Can Make It" sets don't include are adhesive and a paper trimmer, but otherwise, all you have to do is pick a "You Can Make It" collection and start stamping.  Of course, this stamp set is available on it's own as well, so you have two options, and that holds true for all the "You Can Make It" collections.

Ok, on to the stamp set!  The Flowering Desert Stamp Set includes many desert images that you can layer together.  It uses the new distinctive stamp technology, which means you'll get some amazing shading built in to your stamping already.  There's a little tidbit for stamping with distinctive stamps that I'll show you in the YouTube Tuesday tutorial, so stay tuned!
