Wacky Wednesday with Amazing Life

Eat Cake Card Tutorial
We have officially kicked off "birthday season" in my family, and the fast approaching ones are my dad and then me.  But being able to celebrate with the traditional birthday cake isn't so easily with my sensitivity to dairy.  Finding things to eat can be an interesting challenge, but I recently found a bakery about an hour away that specializes in Vegan and allergy sensitive treats.  My husband kindly ordered one for me, and I'm excited to try something that I shouldn't have to think twice about!
Most desserts have dairy in them and I have learned to not even look or ask about desserts when we are out.  But life is way too short to not eat cake, so today I'm thankful that I may have found a place that makes sweets I can eat.  I also love to bake desserts for those I love, but I don't often find a recipe that is appealing to all of us, or that actually turns out for that matter!  So I usually bake things for my loved ones and I enjoy my "cake" which is stamping.  ;)

Amazing Life Stamp Set

Measurements:

Base: Whisper White Narrow Note Card and Envelop

Embellishment: Wink of Stella

Instructions:

1.  Stamp "Life's Too Short..." sentiment on the left side of the Base using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Also stamp the cake image on the right side of the Base using the same ink.

2.  Repeatedly stamp the small three dots image over the Base first in Pineapple Punch, then in Mango Melody, and finally in Blueberry Bushel Inks.  Be sure to clean your stamp before switching colors!

3.  Press some ink from each ink stamp onto a clear block (or three different ones if you prefer, be sure not to overlap your inks!).  Color each layer of the cake by picking up some of the ink with the Wink of Stella first and then coloring each section.  Do the same for the letters of the work "CAKE."  Be sure to wipe off any excess color on your Wink of Stella brush before switching to a new color.
