Today is the last day for me to play with the Garden Impressions product suite and do I have a fabulous card tutorial for you today!  This one has fancy techniques and fun tips to help you amp up your stampin'!  But what's the fun of just reading about it?  Ok, so my blog post will definitely have all the measurements and tutorial for you.  BUT, the Facebook Live will show you how I did it.

Thank You Card Tutorial with Garden Impressions

Base:  Shaded Spruce Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded at 4 1/4" oriented in landscape

Layer 1: Whisper White Card Stock 5 1/4" x 4"
Layer 2: Shaded Spruce Card Stock, 5 1/4" x 1/4"
Layer 3: Shaded Spruce Card Stock 5 1/4" x 3/4"

Layer 4: Garden Impressions DSP, cut out large flowers and leaves

Embellishments: Metallic Pearls

Instructions

1.  Stamp "Thank you" sentiment using Pacific Point on Layer 1 in bottom right corner.

2.  Mask the top and bottom of a 1 3/4" horizontal strip on Layer 1, about 3/4" from top.  Stamp various flowers and leaves in the strip.  Flowers stamped in Melon Mambo and Pacific Point.  Leaves stamped in Shaded Spruce and Soft Sea Foam Inks.

2.  Remove masking from Layer 1 and adhere to Base.  Adhere Layer 2 at top edge of floral stamping on Layer 1.  Adhere Layer 3 to bottom edge of floral stamping on Layer 1.

3.  Using Snips, cut out 2 flowers and 2 leaves from the large flower DSP.  Adhere to Layer 3 using Dimensionals.

4.  Embellish with Metallic Pearls, using gold for the center of the DSP flowers and silver on Layer 3.

Thankful Thursday

For those of you who don't know much about me, I'm a very active person- an extrovert.  I've also had a very bad knee for most of my life.  But at the end of June, I managed to injure it further, which has limited me greatly.  It so happened that I injured it just before our trip to visit family as well.  I could not have foreseen all of the ways in which my family stepped up to help me.  It overwhelms me with love and appreciation.  I was so excited to spend time with everyone in Minnesota and this was the last thing anyone needed to be dealing with when you are out of town.  What could have been a miserable visit instead was a trip that filled my heart with love and gratitude for everyone I have in my life.  

It's been a little over two months since this last injury occurred, and I'm relieved to know that I should be getting back to normal, or even better than normal I hope!  And back to being more of a helper myself.  I'm so grateful for my family here in NC and in MN for all the help and support.  

Garden Impressions Butterfly Card Tutorial

Base:  Pacific Point Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded at 4 1/4" oriented in landscape

Layer 1: Whisper White Card Stock 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"

Layer 2: Garden Impressions DSP, 5 1/4" x 4"

Layer 3: Whisper White Card Stock 5" x 1"
Layer 4: Pacific Point Card Stock, die cut butterfly
Embellishments: Metallic Pearls

Instructions

1.  Stamp "If Flowers were...." sentiment using Pacific Point on Layer 3 about an inch from right end.  Banner cut right end of strip.

2.  Adhere Layers 1 and 2 to Base.

3.  Adhere Layer 3 to Base with left end to edge of DSP and bottom about an inch up from bottom of card.

4.  Using Glue Dots, adhere the body of the butterfly to Layer 3.  Embellish with Gold Metallic Pearls.

Wednesday Garden Impressions Card Tutorial

This product suite with the double-sided Designer Series Paper (DSP) makes it super easy to create beautiful cards.  This card uses both sides of one sheet of DSP.  Pair that with one of the fabulous embossing folders for added texture and cards become rich and vibrant.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Base:  Soft Sea Foam Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded at 4 1/4" oriented in portrait

Layer 1: Pacific Point Card Stock 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"

Layer 2: Soft Sea Foam Card Stock 5 1/4" x 4"

Layer 3: Pacific Point Card Stock 4 1/2" x 3 1/2"
Layer 4 and 5:  2 pieces Garden Impressions DSP, both cut to 4" x 3", use each design once
Layer 6: Linen Thread
Layer 7: Pacific Point Card Stock, 2" x 1 1/2"
Layer 8: Soft Sea Foam Card Stock, 1 7/8" x 1 3/8"

Instructions

1.  Stamp "There's so Much...." sentiment using Pacific Point on Layer 8.  Adhere to Layer 7 overlapping left side.

2.  Emboss Layer 2 with Basket Weave Dynamic Texture Embossing Folder.  Adhere Layers 1 and 2 to Base.

3.  Adhere Layers 4 and 5 to Layer 3.  Adhere yellow side framing top right corner and floral print side after framing bottom left corner.   Wrap with Layer 6 (Linen Thread) and adhere to Base.

4.  Adhere Layers 7 and 8 to Base using Dimensionals in center of card but slightly offset to right.  Tie a bow using two pieces of Linen Thread and adhere onto wrapped thread on the left side of Layers 7 and 8 using Mini Glue Dots.

Garden Impressions is one of my favorites in the Annual Catalog from Stampin' Up!  And I love the Designer Series Paper (DSP) so much that I wanted to show you several ways in which to use it.  A "One Sheet Wonder" uses one sheet of DSP cut into several pieces and used on separate projects.  I have designed 6 projects to make from just one sheet of DSP.  All the measurements, instructions, and supplies are listed at the end of this post, so all you need to do is get your supplies and follow along!

This is the template for cutting the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper

Card 1:  Thank you

Base: So Saffron Card Stock, 3" x 6" scored and folded at 3", fold goes to the top

Layer 1: Melon Mambo Card Stock, 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"

Layer 2: Garden Impressions DSP 2" x 2"

Embellishment: Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine

1. Stamp "Thank You" in bottom right corner of Base using Night of Navy Ink.

2. Adhere Layers 1 and 2 to Base with squares offset.  Wrap Base with Baker's Twine and tie a bow on the left side.

Card 2:  Thank you (again)

Base: So Saffron Card Stock, 3" x 6" scored and folded at 3", fold goes to the top

Layer 1: Melon Mambo Card Stock, 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Layer 2: Calypso Coral Card Stock, 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"

Layer 3: Garden Impressions DSP, 2" circle

Layer 4: So Saffron Card Stock, 2 1/2" x 3/4"

Embellishment: Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine

1.  Stamp "Thank You" on to Layer 4.  Banner cut each end.

2.  Adhere Layers 1, 2, and 3 to Base with squares offset.  Wrap Base with Baker's Twine and tie a bow on the left side.

3.  Adhere Layer 4 to Base below Baker's Twine using Dimensionals.

Card 3: There's so Much to Love About You

Base: So Saffron Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4", fold goes to the top

Layer 1: Melon Mambo Card Stock, 4 1/2" x 3 1/2"

Layer 2: So Saffron Card Stock, 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"

Layer 3: Garden Impressions DSP, 4" x 3" with 2" circle punched out towards one side

Embellishment: Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine

1.  Adhere Layers 2 and 3.  Stamp "There's So Much..." in 2" circle window.  Wrap with Baker's Twine below 2: circle and tie a bow on the left side.

2.  Adhere Layer 1 to Base.  Adhere Layers 2 and 3 to Base using Dimensionals.

Card 4:  Kindness Changes Everything

Base: So Saffron Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4", fold goes to the top

Layer 1: Calypso Coral Card Stock, 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"

Layer 2: Garden Impressions DSP, 4" x 3"triangle

Layer 3: So Saffron Card Stock, 2 1/2 x 1 3/4"

Embellishment: Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine

1.  Adhere Layers 1 and 2.  Wrap with Baker's Twine on long side and tie bow about 1 1/4" from left.  Adhere to Base.

2.  Stamp "Kindness" sentiment on Layer 3 and adhere to Base using Dimensionals.

Card 5:  So Happy About Your Happy News

Base: So Saffron Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". Score FRONT at 2 1/8" and fold back, creating a Z-Fold card.

Layer 1: Melon Mambo Card Stock, 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"

Layer 2: Garden Impressions DSP, 4" x 3"triangle

Layer 3: So Saffron Card Stock, 2 1/2 x 7/8"

Embellishment: Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine

1.  Adhere Layers 1 and 2 with Triangle in top left.  Wrap with Baker's Twine on long side and tie bow about in center about an inch from left.  Adhere to Base on the 2 1/8" front side only.

2.  Stamp "So Happy..." sentiment on Layer 3 and banner cut each end.  Adhere to Base on bottom right using Dimensionals.

Card 6: If Flowers Were Hugs...

Base: So Saffron Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4", fold goes to the top

Layer 1: Calypso Coral Card Stock, 5 1/4" x 4"

Layer 2: Garden Impressions DSP, 4" x 2"

Layer 3: So Saffron Card Stock, 3 1/4" x 7/8"

Embellishment: Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine

1.  Adhere Layers 1 and 2 with DSP about a 1/2" from left.  Wrap with Baker's Twine from top to bottom and tie bow just below center about an inch from left.  Adhere to Base.

2.  Stamp "If Flowers..." sentiment on Layer 3 and banner cut each end.  Adhere to Base on bottom with left side about at Bow using Dimensionals.
