Cheery Snowflake Card Tutorial

What's more fun than taking a the traditional red and green to the extreme?  Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst brighten up the traditional holiday color scheme with the Happiness Surrounds Stamp Set.  The border stamp is tone-on-tone stamping, which is easy to do using grid paper to line up your stamp, but can also be easily done using the amazing Stamparatus.  I'm sharing Stampin' Up!'s video on the Stamparatus so you can see how many awesome things you can do with it, and how easy it will make your stamping.

Using the Stamparatus

The specific technique we are using for this card is the stepping technique in the video about at the 7 min 30 sec mark.  There are plenty of other videos that SU has on using the Stamparatus as well!

Happiness Surrounds Stamp Set

Measurements:

Base: Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Layer 1:  Whisper White Card Stock, largest Stitched Shapes Framelits Die

Layer 2:  Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock,  medium solid snowflake from Snowfall Thinlits Dies
Layer 3:  Berry Burst Card Stock, small snowflake die from Snowfall Thinlits Dies

Embellishment: Pearl Basic Jewels, Berry Burst Metallic-Edge Ribbon

Instructions:

1.  Stamp border stamp onto left side of Base using grid paper or a Stamparatus to stamp evenly up the card.  Stamp in Lemon Lime Twist.

2.  Stamp large medallion image onto Layer 1 using Berry Burst Ink.

3.  Stamp leaf snowflake onto Layer 2 using Lemon Lime Twist.

4.  Adhere Berry Burst Ribbon folded in half over the bottom left side of the Base on a diagonal using Mini Glue Dots.  Adhere Layer 1 to Base over Berry Burst Ribbon using Dimensionals.

5.  Adhere Layers 2 and 3 to center of Layer 1 using Mini Glue Dots.  Place a Pearl Basic Jewel in the center of Layer 3 and add Pearls to Base on diagonal from bottom-left to top-right.
