You Make Me Smile Card Tutorial
This new Balmy Blue is cool yet elegant on for this tutorial today. CASEd stands for Copy And Share Everything, so my card from today is a template from a challenge my up-line demonstrator set for all of her team. To CASE, you can create a card exactly as it is, or you can take the layout and change the stamps used, colors, embellishments or more. For this card, I opted to make the dimensions for the Basic Black layer smaller than the given template so the border would be thin to match the Graceful Glass Designer Series Paper (DSP). You Make Me Smile Card Dimensions
Base: Balmy Blue Card Stock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Layer 1: Basic Black Card Stock, 3 1/8 x 4 1/8"
Layer 2: Whisper White Card Stock, 3" x 4"
Layer 3: Graceful Glass DSP, 2 7/8" x 2 5/8"
Layer 4: Basic Black Card Stock, 1 3/8" Scalloped Circle Punch
Layer 5: Whisper White Card Stock, 1 1/4" Circle Punch
Layer 2: Whisper White Card Stock, 3" x 4"
Layer 3: Graceful Glass DSP, 2 7/8" x 2 5/8"
Layer 4: Basic Black Card Stock, 1 3/8" Scalloped Circle Punch
Layer 5: Whisper White Card Stock, 1 1/4" Circle Punch
Embellishments: Silver Metallic Thread, Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon
Instructions
1. Stamp "You Make Me Smile" sentiment on top right corner of Layer 2 using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
2. Stamp small snowflake image onto Layer 5 in Balmy Blue Ink. Adhere to Layer 4.
2. Stamp small snowflake image onto Layer 5 in Balmy Blue Ink. Adhere to Layer 4.
3. Adhere Layers 1 and 2 to Base. Adhere Layer 3 on bottom of Layer 2.
4. Cut 3 1/2" of Basic Black Ribbon and banner cut each end. Adhere on edge of Layer 3 beneath sentiment.
5. Wind 2 ft of Silver Metallic Thread around fingers and adhere to the back of Layer 4 with Dimensionals. Adhere Layers 4 and 5 to Base over the Basic Black Ribbon on the left side.
