Thankful Thursday with Toil and Trouble

Bubble, Bubble Box Tutorial

The Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper (DSP) has many fun patterns to use, but it also coordinates with the Cauldron Bubble Bundle.  The stamp images are the same size as many of the images in the DSP, so you can choose to die cut the stamps or the DSP.  For this box the cauldron is stamped and then colored using the Watercolor Pencils.  Once colored, it was blended using a Blender Pen which helps to minimize lines from coloring and blends colors together for a more gradual transition.  Full tutorial below!

Thankful Thursday

I'm not one who likes to stay home all day every day.  So when I decided to focus on my Stampin' Up! business and do blogging from home, I knew I would need some things to keep me focused, but also some things to help me have some interaction.  We have had our two dogs, Panzie and Snickers, for years.  Panzie is elderly now and Snickers still acts like a puppy, but both have been such wonderful company and brought me much joy every day.  I'm so thankful that I get to spend more time with them, and for all the love and joy they bring to my life and for my family as well.

Panzie is our teacup Yorkie.  She loves to snuggle and will bathe you all day if she is given the chance.  She will be 13 on New Year's Day and we are so grateful that she is still around.  She doesn't get around well anymore, largely due to the fact that she is going blind.  But she doesn't ever want to be left out and will tell us if she thinks we have left her downstairs, or will ask to come up on the couch.  When she was younger, she would bounce through the grass and play hide and seek, thinking if she crouched down we couldn't see her.

Snickers is completely different.  You could sum up his personality just like the chocolate bar: sweet, loves to chew, and nutty too.  He makes us all laugh every day.  He is very vocal, but I never knew a dog could make some of the sounds that he makes.  It just makes me giggle.  I wish I could understand what he is trying to express with some sort of translator, because I'm sure it is just pure joy.  He loves to play more than anything else, but will also come sit with you when he needs a break.  When he does want some lovin', he loves belly rubs (and butt scratches, but don't tell him I told you that).  He protects our yard from all the critters.  He likes to be held when he doesn't feel good.  He also greets everyone with a "smile" when they come to visit and will clobber your face with kisses if you sit down on the couch when you meet him.  He investigates everything and just wants to be with us all the time.
