July Step-It-Up Series Day 2 Card Tutorial

For Day 2 of the Step-It-Up Series, add another color of cardstock and an embellishment.  To coordinate, we are adding Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.  And for the embellishment, use the Braided Linen Trim.  This Trim is a great neutral color, very natural color too.  It goes really well with florals or outdoor-themed projects.  All the stamping is exactly the same from the first card, but you just stamp on a layer instead of the card base.  You'll also need some adhesives for this project because there are layers and more items to attach.

July Step-It-Up Series Day 2 Card Tutorial

Tropical Chic Stamp Set

Measurements:

Base: Flirty Flamingo Cardstock,
8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4"
Layer 1: Whisper White Cardstock,
4" x 5 1/4"
Inside Panel: Whisper White Cardstock,
4" x 5 1/4"

Embellishments: Braided Linen Trim

Instructions:

1.  Stamp "With Much Love..." sentiment on centered towards the bottom of Layer 1 using Flirty Flamingo Ink.

2. Stamp two large leaves above the sentiment on Layer 1 using Call Me Clover Ink.

3.  Stamp small flower between leaves and to the right of the leaves on Layer 1 using Flirty Flamingo Ink.

4.  Using Mini Glue Dots, adhere a length of Braided Linen Trim across Layer 1 just below the sentiment.

5.  Adhere Layer 1 to Base using Snail.

6.  Tie a bow in the Braided Linen Trim and adhere on top of the Braided Linen Trim on the card, adhere just left of the sentiment.
