Make It Monday with Tropical Chic

You Are The Greatest Card Tutorial
The card for our tutorial yesterday turned out so well that I couldn't throw away that baby wipe just yet!  I had to use it to make something else, so I opted to make my own designer series paper with it.  I found a happy surprise when making this: texture!  If you look closely at the leaves, they have a texture to them.  That is from the baby wipes!  Pretty cool, huh?

This is called "The Baby Wipe Technique" because you put ink from re-inkers onto a baby wipe and use the inked baby wipe as an ink pad.  Different types of baby wipes use more or less ink, and the ink will spread differently on different types too, but for the most part, you simply drop ink all over the baby wipe until you cover it.  Check it by doing a sample stamping and add more ink if you're missing any spots.  Then stamp!  What's great is this technique creates a temporary ink pad you can use multiple times, so if you want to create many of the same card, or use the same ink for multiple projects, you don't have to start over each time you stamp.  You can use up the ink and simply add more ink if it starts to run out.  Only thing to watch for is if your baby wipe starts to fall apart.  You don't want to get fibers on your stamp, so just watch for that.
