Sunny Thursday with Let It Ride

Go For It Sunset Card Tutorial
Coloring techniques can sometimes look harder than they are, but this one is really fun.  Go For It!!!!!   Blender Pens are one of my favorite coloring tools and there are several great techniques for using them.  I simply picked up small amounts of ink from an acrylic block and created a sunset with layers of half circle rings.  You can make it really bright with very concentrated ink on a Blender Pen, or you can make it very subtle with just a little ink instead.  Be sure to use Shimmery White Cardstock!

Go For It Sunset Card Tutorial
Let It Ride Stamp Set

Measurements:

Base: Shimmery White Cardstock, 3" x 6",
score and fold at 3"

Instructions:

1. Stamp two-horse image centered at bottom using Crumb Cake Ink.  Also stamp "Go For It" sentiment toward top right in same ink.

2.  Use a Blender Pen to shade the grass with Pear Pizzazz Ink, and the horses with Crumb Cake Ink.  Be sure to stamp some ink onto a block and pick up the ink with the Blender Pen from the block to keep your ink pads in good condition!  Also be sure to scribble off any extra color from the Blender Pen before switching to another color.

3.  Using the Blender Pen, pick up some Pineapple Punch Ink from an acrylic block and color a small half circle behind the two horses for a sunset.  Continue to build that half circle by adding a ring of Grapefruit Grove, then Flirty Flamingo, and finally Pool Party Ink around the first half circle.  Colors can overlap some to blend them.  Be sure to work quickly to prevent the paper from pilling.  If you do see pilling, be done in that spot!
