Hello There Note Card Tutorial

Framing layers can be super fun, but it doesn't have to take tons of math to do it either.  Three different colors of cardstock can look amazing when cut to the same size.  They just frame one corner instead of the whole layer.

Hello There Note Card Tutorial

Around The Corner Stamp Set

Measurements:

Base: Whisper White Thick Cardstock,
3" x 6", score and fold at 3"
Layer 1: Terracotta Tile Cardstock,
2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
Layer 2: Petal Pink Cardstock,
2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Layer 3: Whisper White Cardstock,

2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Instructions:

1.  Stamp "Hi There" in the lower, right corner of the Layer 3 in Terracotta Tile Ink.  Also stamp matching corner stamp in the upper, left corner of Layer 3 in same ink.

2.  On two corners that are not stamped on Layer 3, punch the floral side of the Detailed Trio Punch.

3.  Adhere Layers 1, 2 and 3 to Base with Layers 1 and 2 making a small border on the sentiment corner of Layer 3.  Adhere using Snail.

Two-Tone Tuesday with Around The Corner

It's Your Day Card Tutorial

Petal Pink and the new Terracotta Tile are a great pair for a two-tone effect.  This card looks like a Designer Series Paper (DSP) because the Petal Pink Ink is stamped all over the card front.  And the sentiment stands out since it is in the darker Terracotta Tile.

It's Your Day Card Tutorial

Around The Corner Stamp Set

Measurements:

Base: Whisper White Thick Cardstock,
5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4"

Embellishments: Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, Pearl Basic Jewels

Instructions:

1.  Stamp "Hi There" in the lower, left corner of the Base in Terracotta Tiel Ink.

2.  Stamp choice of line pattern repeatedly over the card front in Petal Pink Ink.

3.  Adhere Pearls to the card front between the stamped pattern.

4.  Tie bow around top of card front in the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.

It's Your Day Card Tutorial

It's Christmas in July in the Fair family today, with not one but THREE birthdays.  And, of course, I'm making cards. 😜  A very happy birthday to Seth, Roberto, and my husband Matt.

This week I'll be showcasing designs using the Around The Corner Stamp Set.  I love this stamp set for it's fun use of space on paper: the corner.  Often we make the center of our paper crafting the focal point, but not with this stamp set!  It's all about the corners and using space.  It's a fun way to try something new!

It's Your Day Card Tutorial

Around The Corner Stamp Set

Measurements:

Base: Whisper White Thick Cardstock,
5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4"

Instructions:

1.  Stamp "It's Your Day" in the lower, left corner of the Base in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Stamp coordinating swirl in same ink on upper, right corner of Base.

2.  Stamp birthday hat 5 times across remaining space along bottom of Base in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

3.  Stamp "It's Your Day" outline on top of the Tuxedo Black sentiment on Base in Granny Apple Green Ink.

4.  Color hats and candles with Light Granny Apple Green Blend.  Also color flames of candles with Light Daffodil Delight Blend.
