Thinking of You Card Tutorial

I find I need sympathy cards every so often, but I don't always like to use ones that say "With Sympathy."  Using "Thinking of You" instead opens my cards up to having more uses, at least in my opinion.

Today's tutorial features the new beautiful Pretty Peacock color.  I love a good teal and I'm so very happy we have a very pretty one to use for the next two years!  I paired it with Very Vanilla because I wanted a more vintage vibe.  I think all the new 19-21 In Colors will work well with Very Vanilla too!

Thinking of You Card Tutorial

Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set

Measurements:

Base: Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4"
Layer 1: Pretty Peacock Cardstock, 3 1/8" x 4 1/8"
Layer 2: Very Vanilla Cardstock, 3" x 4"


Embellishment: Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon

Instructions:

1.  Stamp long background stamp several times filling middle of the Base using Pretty Peacock Ink.

2.  Stamp "Thinking of You" on middle of Layer 2 using Pretty Peacock Ink.

3.  Stamp framing flourish above and below sentiment on Layer 2 using Pretty Peacock Ink.

4.  Adhere Layer 2 to Layer 1 using Snail.

5.  Adhere length of Scalloped Ribbon around top, right and bottom, left corners of Layers 1 and 2.  Adhere ends of Ribbon to back side of Layer 1 using Mini Glue Dots.

6.  Adhere Layers 1 and 2 to middle of Base using Dimensionals.

Good Things in Life Card Tutorial

Butterflies are one of my favorite things to watch around our house.  I love the pretty yellow swallowtails that we get in NC, and the beautiful blackish blue ones too!  The new Seaside Spray is a perfect color for showing of the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and coordinating Butterfly Duet Punch.  Add some of the Scalloped Ribbon and it's a party!

Butterfly Gala Stamp Set

Measurements:

Base: Seaside Spray Cardstock, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4"
Layer 1: Whisper White Cardstock, 3" x 4 1/4"
Layer 2: Seaside Spray Cardstock, Punch with Butterfly Duet Punch


Embellishment: Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Metallic Pearls

Instructions:

1.  Stamp choice of small butterfly repeatedly around the edges of the Base using Seaside Spray Ink.

2.  Stamp choice of butterfly set onto Layer 2 using Seaside Spray Ink, then punch out using the Butterfly Duet Punch.

3.  Stamp "The Good Things..." sentiment on the bottom, right corner of Layer 1 in Seaside Spray Ink.

4.  Adhere 3  pieces of 3" ribbon to vertically on the left side of Layer 1 using Tear & Tape.

5.  Adhere Layer 1 to Base using Snail.

6.  Adhere both butterflies of Layer 2 to Layer 1 over the ribbons.

7.  Embellish body of each butterfly of Layer 2 with Metallic Pearls.

Woven Threads Sour Cream Carton Tutorial

Terracotta Tile and Rococo Rose are just two of the colors in the new Woven Threads Designer Series Paper (DSP).  It's part of the new Woven Threads Product Suite, which has a stamp set and die bundles along with some great coordinating embellishments and ribbons.  The Woven Threads DSP also uses all five of the new In Colors, which makes it a great paper pack to increase the creative possibilities!

Embellishment: Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon
